Who provides the services
All travel services presented on this website are provided by Kumar Fernando (Kumika Tours), 180/12 Post Office Road, Aluthgama, Sri Lanka. Any agreement about a trip is made directly between you and Kumika Tours in Sri Lanka.
This website is an informational presentation. Its operator is not a travel agency, does not sell or mediate package tours, and is not a party to any contract.
Who is responsible for your data
Kumika Tours (Kumar Fernando, address above) decides what happens with the data you send through this site. The website itself is maintained for Kumar by a friend, on a technical basis only. Questions about your data, and requests to delete it, go to [email protected].
Personal data (GDPR)
- Contact form: name, email, approximate arrival date, length of stay, and your message. Used only to answer your inquiry and plan your trip, on the basis of your consent, which you give with the checkbox in the form. The message is delivered to Kumika Tours by email and kept in that mailbox for as long as it is needed for your inquiry or your trip. It goes into no marketing database and no newsletter.
- Review form: the name you type, your country if you fill it in, your rating, your review text, the language of the page you wrote it on, and the time it arrived. We deliberately do not ask for your email address. The review is stored in this site's database (Cloudflare D1) and published on the Reviews page only after a person has approved it, on the basis of the consent you give with the checkbox in the form. Your name and country appear publicly next to your review, which is the point of publishing it, so please use only what you are happy to have read by anyone. An approved review stays on the page until you ask for it to be taken down; write to the email above and it is deleted. Submissions that are rejected as spam are deleted too.
- Analytics: this site counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless measurement tool. It records which pages are viewed, the site a visit came from, the browser type and country, and how fast the page loaded. It stores no cookies and nothing else on your device, does not fingerprint your browser, and builds no visitor profiles; the numbers only tell us which pages are read.
No data is sold, and none is shared with third parties beyond the technical services listed below.
Technical services that see the data
- Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.) hosts the site and runs the small function that processes the contact form. Like any web server, it processes your IP address and browser details in order to deliver the page.
- Cloudflare D1 (Cloudflare, Inc.) is the database that holds submitted reviews.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc.) counts page views with a small script served from Cloudflare. Like any server it briefly processes your IP address to answer the request, but it stores no cookies and keeps no record of who you are.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a review was sent by a person and not by a bot. It and the analytics counter above are the only third-party scripts on this site, it runs on the Reviews page alone, and it processes your IP address and signals from your browser to make that decision. It shows no advertising and builds no profile of you. Without it, a public form writing into a database would fill up with spam.
- Resend (resend.com) delivers the contact-form email and the notification that a new review is waiting for approval.
- OpenStreetMap serves the map on the Contact page. It is embedded from openstreetmap.org, so opening that page tells their servers your IP address. The map sets no advertising cookies.
- Fonts and images are served from this site itself, so normal browsing sends nothing to any other company.
Cookies
Kumika Tours sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising, analytics or profiling cookies. We checked this on the live site rather than assuming it: after completing the human check on the Reviews page, this site had stored no cookies at all. The traffic counter works without cookies too: Cloudflare Web Analytics stores nothing on your device. If Cloudflare stores anything for that check, it sits on Cloudflare's own domain and its only purpose is to remember that the check was passed, which is strictly necessary for a function you asked for. So there is nothing here that needs your consent, and this site shows no cookie banner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to the data we hold about you, correction of it, deletion of it, or restriction of its use. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and you can object to how the data is used. Write to [email protected] and we will sort it out. If you are in the EU and believe your data was handled badly, you also have the right to complain to your national data-protection authority.
Reviews honesty note
Reviews are submitted by visitors through the form on the Reviews page and published after a person has read them. That reading is a check for spam, abuse and submissions that do not come from a guest, not a check on opinions: we publish reviews as written, and a review is never removed or held back because it is critical. We do not ask for a booking number, so we cannot confirm that every author travelled with Kumar, and no review on this site is marked as verified. We never write or commission reviews, and nobody is paid or rewarded for leaving one.
